Metal Narcissus Flower Card and Ally Pally

Here's the birthday card I made for my friend Francesca, she got it a little late as I forgot the date!
The background metal got a treatment of alcohol inks and black paint. The metal flower was die cut using Tim Holtz Tattered flowers die and shaped using a variety of TSS tools, then the flower and the industrial strip also had alcohol inks then I wanted to subdue the colour on the flower center and the strip so used Decoarts antiquing cream on them.
I've tried to shape the center of this flower like the small trumpet on Narcissus to represent spring flowers.
I'm going to be cheeky and enter this for the Vintage Journey Challenge Spring Flowers.
If you'd like to see some tutorials on creating metal flowers hop over to Lin Brown's blog and scroll down until you see the flower power tutorials on the right hand side.

Hope you have all had a Happy Easter.

Thanks for looking

Hi Karin. Your card for your friend is beautiful! I love how you've taken Tim's Tattered Florals die cut and created such a lovely metallic flower for the front of your card. The embossed background is also really lovely. Your Ally Pally stash looks amazing! Wish I could go there sometime! Thanks so much for sharing your card with all of us at A Vintage Journey. <3 Candy
