Over on Studio L3, Linda Ledbetter and her wonderful crew (do go and check them out) are sharing their masterpieces for the forth challenge of The Compendium of Curiosities Vol 3 Challenge (CC3), from Tim Holtz's latest publication.
The challenge this time is Layering Stencil techniques -Texture Paste, which can be found on page 49.
I used the stripes Layering stencil and texture paste.
In respect to Tim please don't ask for the technique used; you need to get your own copy!
Tim and Mario have sent Linda, prizes for the challenges, those guys are the best!
All even numbered challenges are are sponsored by The Funkie Junkie Boutique.
I've used the Hot Air Balloon from remnants and the minis plates, using a selection of distress inks, crushed olive, mustard seed, festive berries, broken china, ripe persimmon, seedless preserves, frayed burlap, scattered straw to colour the balloons; and broken china and salt ocean for the sky.
Please go over to Linda's Blog to find out how you can join in the fun.
Until next time

Nice design Karin, love the striped background.
Fabulous background, love those balloons.
Love all those brightly colored hot air balloons! The choice of the stripes stencil in the sky was absolutely perfectly! It is a very happy and beautiful piece!
Hi Karen! I love your card! It's bright, cheerful and makes me smile to look at it! Nice job of the embossing paste stripes in the blue sky background. That is a great idea! Your colored hot air balloons are very striking against the blue! Thanks for sharing your art with us at CC3C. <3 Candy
Terrific texture in the background, Karin - and I love your bold and beautiful balloons floating across it!
