CC3C-1

The Compendium of Curiosities Vol 3 Challenge has now began, otherwise known as CC3C.
The lovely Linda Ledbetter and her cute distressing assistant Violet, over at Studio L3 have set us all off on another wonderful journey dipping into Tim Holtz latest publication. The journey will continue until we've completed all of the techniques in the book, the techniques are going to be  randomly selected every fortnight. Linda has a wonderful crew sharing their masterpieces too, so do go and check them all out.
Tim and Mario have sent Linda, prizes for the challenge, those guys are the best!
For the first challenge the fabulously generous people over at Inspiration Emporium are offering a $50 prize!
In respect to Tim please don't ask for the technique used; you need to get your own copy :-)

Any way onto my card, yes I've decided to make some cards for this challenge as I always seem to be running out of them.
The base of the card has been stamped with Tim's chickenwire stamp using a selection of distress inks, then a little blending of broken china and stormy skies. The distress paints  that I used to create the technique (Paint Marbling pg.43) where Mustard Seed, Evergreen Bough, Crushed Olive and Salty Ocean, plus Broken China and Faded Jeans distress inks. I then over stamped using my favourite (at the moment) stamp set - Bird Feather and a sentiment stamp; I used a variety of distress markers to colour the stamps in, and also used the birds wing tips to create extra branches. Finally I distressed the edges of a Tim Holtz Kraft core and the top layer, added a distress inked Adage ticket and attached a distress painted word stick.

Please go over to Linda's Blog to find out how you can join in the fun.

Until next time
Karin x
