Christmas, with a twist

Saturday Stampers challenge.

The twist is you cannot use Christmas Specific pictures, like Santa Claus, or a Christmas Tree etc. So make your project look Christmassy using only colours and patterns etc. You also can’t use the word “Christmas”, but anything else is fine…….good luck!!

The scanner has made the embossing look very dull and the glass needs a bit of a clean sorry.

Pink Ribbon

You can click on the ribbon here
to make a difference

This week on Saturday Stampers they'd like to tie in with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and get us all to use Pink Ribbon somewhere on your project. Any shade of pink, in any way you choose to use it.

Sorry scanning a notebook this thick isn't the easiest of things. It's also made the darker ribbon go a bit odd as it's nearly a perfect match to the ink I used on the background stamp.

Treasures & Boats

The theme on Saturday Stamper this week is treasures.
I've loads of different ideas but not the right stamps to do them! LOL I bet we all say that at least once a week. This week I was inspried by a special friend who sent me an altered notebook I just couldn't wait to try doing one myself, I treasure the fact that I've learnt something new from my friend and have been able to incorporate my love of the sea and the world which also holds many tresures. So I did have stamps that worked after all :0)
Cars, Boats, Trains & Planesis the theme for our Little Extra challenge this week on DCM. A good chance to stock up on kids cards and make a few of those poor, unloved "cards for men", maybe? How about "congratulations on Passing your Driving test" or "Got your Wings" for newly qualified pilots? - ok so we may be reaching a bit far with that one, but you never know! Basically, what we'd like you to do is put some transport on your cards this week, how you do it is up to you!

Sorry scanning this depth isn't too good, the front has a semi - opaque actate cover with brads going through it the back is similar without brads so a little clearer.

Copper ATC

I've wanted to play with copper for a long time and this is my first attempt. This ATC is made from a sheet of light copper I firstly embossed and then used heated to change the colour and accent the Z. I did try to scan it but everything that was embossed looked debossed, my photo doesn't really show the differences in colours and I can't find where to turn the date off either.

Degrees of Red

These three ATCs are for a swap with the theme set as red. The stamp is from Elusivc Images.

They have all been stamped onto acetate using Stazon and have gold pentouch picking up the background pattern.

For the first 2 - I also stamped onto the white card with black Stazon and again using the same image but with a red ink pad to create a shadow image on the first one, for the background I dabbed a red cardinal petal point ink pad. On the second image smudged the ink over the lady to give her a little added colour.

On this one I applied alcohol inks Red pepper & cranberry to add depth to the background then overlaid it onto red mountboard.

Run Wild - Zebras

I created this card using an Acrylic piece, the image was stamped with Stazon, glittered then for the background I used a brayer to apply the Brilliance tricolour ink pad and set with white embossing powder, I also did the edges with black Stazon.
The Zebra picture and the sand background both come from Joanna Sheen's Animal Antic CD.
