2012 Tags March

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2012 March Tag
Instead of doing the 12 tags of Christmas this year Tim is doing the 12 tags of 2012, which I think is a great idea, December has always been to hectic for me to join in the fun but one tag a month is a great idea.
I've used the large book-plate stamp for the background using pine needles distress ink. Seafoad EP as the grout for the butterflies, it's a little too bright but it's the closest I have to the cement. Finished off with four Prima flowers held together with a heart shaped brad that had a splash of green alcohol ink. For full details see Tim's blog.

Forum Birthday Card

I had great fun making the background for this card using an acrylic paint resist technique, plenty of inks and a bit of spritzing too. And of course one of my favourite stamps from Crafty individuals. This one was for Galina.

Heart Mobile

I had a wonderful class with Linda Elbourne last Sunday where we made these fabulous Heart Hangings, from a wooden heart mobile kit. Linda is not only an excellent educator she's very entertaining too. The day went by very quickly, with excellent company too. Gabby brought along a very scrummy cake, for us all. Before we knew it was time to go brave the elements again. A big thank you to Francesca for taking me.
My hanging is a bit brighter than this photo but the light quality is bad, if I can get a better photo tomorrow I'll replace this picture.

Sunrise

I had to stop on the way to work a couple of weeks ago, to try and capture the beautiful colours of the early morning sky.

Grungy Stampotique Birthday card

Another forum birthday, this Grungy Stampotique Birthday card was for Penny who is currently revisiting her teen years. Go look at her fantastic blog and you'll see what I mean. :-)
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I've given up counting how many times it took to load up this photo, I've a few more cards to upload (they're not in order as some are still on another camera) but this is it for today. Apart from an early morning photo that's going to post later.

Sercret Garden

Stamped onto patterned paper and coloured with distressed ink pads plus a few raindrops to embellish.

Birthday card

Using the scrap under paper after spraying some flowers for this card and using one of the lovely Stampotique stamps, which was coloured in with distress inks. Martha Stewart punch to trim the corners.
I'm having trouble keeping my internet connection long enough to upload photos, apologise for my absence. Can hardly believe that January is nearly over!
Happy New year everyone :-)
