Treasures & Boats

The theme on Saturday Stamper this week is treasures.
I've loads of different ideas but not the right stamps to do them! LOL I bet we all say that at least once a week. This week I was inspried by a special friend who sent me an altered notebook I just couldn't wait to try doing one myself, I treasure the fact that I've learnt something new from my friend and have been able to incorporate my love of the sea and the world which also holds many tresures. So I did have stamps that worked after all :0)
Cars, Boats, Trains & Planesis the theme for our Little Extra challenge this week on DCM. A good chance to stock up on kids cards and make a few of those poor, unloved "cards for men", maybe? How about "congratulations on Passing your Driving test" or "Got your Wings" for newly qualified pilots? - ok so we may be reaching a bit far with that one, but you never know! Basically, what we'd like you to do is put some transport on your cards this week, how you do it is up to you!

Sorry scanning this depth isn't too good, the front has a semi - opaque actate cover with brads going through it the back is similar without brads so a little clearer.

Moo cards

The challenge this week on Wednesday Stamper is moo cards.
I firstly used glimmer mists on the red card then the one on the left was stamped using Stazon the moon was hightlighted using brilliance moonlight. Center was stamped with stazon. Right stamped with gold encoré and embossed with fine detail gold the colour is lost in scanning and they wouldn't stay straight lol.

Altered CD

I've never altered a cd before but said I'd take part in a swap. I had great fun doing this although I'm not too sure what is expected lol. I covered the cd with paper then stamped various images on both sides, the photo image comes from Victorian Romance cd, the flowers are attached using a flower brad and on the other side I glue a circle over it's pins.

Copper ATC

I've wanted to play with copper for a long time and this is my first attempt. This ATC is made from a sheet of light copper I firstly embossed and then used heated to change the colour and accent the Z. I did try to scan it but everything that was embossed looked debossed, my photo doesn't really show the differences in colours and I can't find where to turn the date off either.

The background image was stamped using versamark and heat embossed with clear powder I then used orange and red petal point chalk inks rubbed over until I was happy with the results.
